Permanent Makeup Cosmetics
Exclusive to our Greenville location. We are now offering Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation, a cosmetic procedure that uses tattooing techniques to apply pigment into the skin, creating a long-lasting enhancement of facial features. It is really semi-permanent and is placed closer to the surface of skin not as deep as a regular tattoo with thin fine needles, it fades gently over time as the skin naturally renews itself.
Pricing
Each service costs $350 and includes two appointments, an initial and a touch up. Each initial appointment is expected to be a 3-4 hour session and a 3 hour session for the follow up appointment.
What You Should Know About PMU
Permanent makeup is good to save time, fix uneven features, or to bring back color lost due to age or scarring. Most just want something that looks clean, natural, and doesn't need touch-ups every few hours. But, you can be bold if you want.
PMU lasts around 1 to 2 years on the lips, 3 to 5 years on the brows and 5 to 7 years on the eyeliner. Life also depends on the use of sunscreen and your skin type (oily tends to fade faster).
Most people come back for touch-ups every year or two. Honestly, this is nice as your style shifts, your makeup can evolve and you may not want the same look forever.
We will start with a consultation and spend a great deal of time mapping your eyebrows or lips. This will show you the shape of them using your bone structure and natural symmetry. If doing lip blushing bring your favorite shade of lipstick and we will match the pigment to your color.
We will numb the area. Most people say it feels like a scratch or sting, a mild to medium pain. Some are so relaxed they can fall asleep mid-treatment.
You will LOVE your permanent make-up and wish you gotten it sooner!
Aftercare Brows and Lips
Wipe lips in the first three hours every hour with the disinfectant wipes; for brows wipe twice in the first day. For the next three days wipe lips or brows three times per day. for the first week use no soap, no moisturizers, or no cleansers.
Apply A&D ointment sparingly just to avoid the area being itchy. When applying do so each time with a clean cotton swab in a thin layer. Do not use mineral oil, Neosporin or petroleum jelly.
No peeling or picking. Let skin flake off at its own rate to avoid causing infection and scarring. Color may appear to be fading as pieces flake off.
Do not use products with and alcohol base, lactose, fruit acids, or glycolic acids for 30 days. No makeup application for fourteen days on or around area.
Avoid sweating, sauna, workouts, tanning, steam rooms, facials, skin treatments, waxings and hot showers for a week to fourteen days.
Don't panic- swelling and color changesare to be expected. Final color can not be determined for four to six weeks.. schedule your follow up then.
Pre Care
Avoid peels, fillers, botox, or laser for two months prior.
Tylenol is recommended. Do NOT take Aspirin, Ibuprofen, drink caffeine, take NSAIDS, or niacin within 24 hours prior to the procedure.
When picking a color expect 30%-50% fade when healed.
Additional Pre-Care Lips
Hydration is a must. Drink water and moisturize your lips multiple times daily in the week prior to your service.
Daily light exfoliation in the week prior is key to better retention of color. Use a sugar scrub or make one with equal parts brown sugar, honey, and olive oil.
For those who suffer with fever blisters. Use Valtrex or Zovirax 5 days prior & 3 days post.
Additional Aftercare Lips
For a week use little toothpaste and skip mouthwash as it can affect your pigment.
Avoid kissing, rubbing, and spicy foods. Use utensils and straws for the first two weeks.
No lip injections or fillers for four weeks.
